Pewter Beer Steins Griffin

The top and the bottom of this steins black glazed body are each decorated with two hand painted gold-leaf bands. But the focal point of this stein is the raised-relief pewter band in the center. Three separately cast deep relief pewter griffin heads, withrings in theirmouths, are attached tothe pewter band. A wrap-around pewter border decoration of eagles, serpents and lions completes the body design. Each piece is registered and individually numbered.
